Depeche Mode, The Memento Mori World Tour across The USA and the UK played in New Orleans at the Smoothie King Center on Saturday, October 7, 2023. Their music began with the Intro "Speak to Me" (Intro),"My Cosmos Is Mine" and " Wagging Tongue" followed by "Walking in My Shoes", "It's No Good", "Sister of Night", "In Your Room" (Zephyr Mix),"Everything Counts", "Precious", "Speak to Me", "A Question of Lust", "Soul With Me" (Acoustic)", "Ghosts Again", "I Feel You", "A Pain That I'm Used To" (Jacques Lu Cont's Remix), "World in My Eyes", "Wrong", "Stripped", "John the Revelator" and "Enjoy the Silence". With a standing-ovation Encore, "Condemnation", "Just Can't Get Enough","Never Let Me Down Again" and finishing the concert with "Personal Jesus.
A sell out crowd with an electrifying performance with new music from the latest album Memento Mori and still performing music from their first album Spell and Spell now a duo by Dave Gahan and Martin Gore, Depeche Mode did not disappoint the long waited crowd at Smoothie King Center. Music lasted for over two hours and Martin Gore and Dave Gahan have not replaced Andy Fletcher on the tour but continue to be flanked by longtime tour personnel Peter Gordeno on keys and backing vocals and drummer Christian Eigner. Together, they created over forty years of electrifying music and a huge production touring throughout their world tour 2023.
