I hope everyone out there had a good break because it’s time for a busy weekend and New Year’s celebrations after that!
Get your bounce on at Siberia on Friday night with staple performers Katey Red, Sissy Nobby, Gotty Boi Chris, and more beginning at 10 p.m. for $8. You can also cross the street to see the reappearance of Bella Blue’s Dirty Dime Peepshow at Allways Lounge on St. Claude Avenue. For the cover charge of $15 at midnight, Bella, along with her cast that includes, but not limited to, The Lady Lucerne and Vinsantos, will be treating you to a belated holiday gift; the gift of nearly complete nudity. Bella says, “You know you’ll be tired of family and food come December 28th. I can’t wait for us to provide you with a well deserved reprieve.” The newly reopened iconic new wave club Jimmy’s is featuring a two-day blast from the past reunion show with Backstabbers, Stephie & the Whitesox, The Limit, and more beginning at 8 p.m. on Friday. Saturday’s menu includes Lenny Zenith Band with Sexdog, Waka Waka, and A Clockwork Elvis at 8 p.m. Both nights are free and the club is located at 8200 Willow Street.
Saturday night is also the 10th Annual Anxious Sounds Holiday Ho-Down at Hi Ho Lounge, also on St. Claude Avenue, which will feature a large cast of musicians creating improvised music that will sound better than most planned-out songs. The cast includes James Singleton, Helen Gillet, Simon Lott, Jay Steigner, and more than ten more performers. The show begins at 10 p.m. Legendary rocker Dax Riggs performs at his usual spot One Eyed Jacks at 10 p.m. for $10.

Where Y’at Magazine is throwing a bash at the Hyatt Regency Hotel with two stages with ten bands, free food and drinks that are included in your ticket price, a midnight toast before the big countdown, and more.
