Can you do 43 daiqs in 30 days? The inaugural Daiquiri Season here in New Orleans. Spawned by the overwhelming popularity of Tales of the Cocktail, Daiquiri Season is a month-long celebration of all things daiq. Many bars and restaurants are creating specialty drinks that will only be available this month, so you better hurry if you want to try them all. To get things started right, the Ace Hotel previewed the month-long event at their Three Keys concert hall featuring fantasitc fare and three cocktail samplers. I loved the fig and gouda skewers! The Ace itself will feature four specialty daiquiris, one at each of their watering holes. They will also be the pick-up/drop-off point for a bus ride to some of the participating bars.
