It's
hard to explain The Room to those who haven't seen it, but the drama
about an odd, melodramatic man named Johnny (Tommy Wiseau) and his romantic
troubles has been a cult sensation for almost 20 years now. Wiseau and co-star
Greg Sestero will be hosting a double feature screening of The Room and
Sestero's new film Miracle Valley at the Joy Theater on November 13th.
Miracle Valley will receive its
Louisiana premiere at the Joy. It's the directorial debut of Sestero, who also wrote
The Disaster Artist about his experiences making The Room (a film
was made of Sestero's book in 2017 starring Seth Rogen and James Franco). Miracle
Valley is a thriller about cults and human trafficking, and is the first
film to ever shoot at Frank Lloyd Wright's world-renowned Falling Water house.
A Q&A session featuring Wiseau and
Sestero will precede every screening. Miracle Valley's Q&A will
begin at 6 p.m. and the screening will start at 6:20. The Room's Q&A
will start at 9 p.m. with the screening at 9:20. Tickets can be purchased for
individual screenings or for the full double feature.
