#CreateLouisiana has announced that it is opening applications for its 2021 French Culture Film Grant, which will be awarded to one lucky Louisiana filmmaking team. The winning team will obtain a $25,000 cash grant to support the creation of a new film, either a short-scripted film or a feature-length documentary, that will feature rich French culture and exclusively local talent. Applications are now open for all Louisiana filmmakers wishing to win this astounding reward. The last day to apply is May 24 by 11:59 p.m.
The grant wouldn't be possible without the continued support from its leading sponsor TV5MONDE USA, the only 24/7 French-spoken entertainment network in America, and additional grant sponsors Cox Communications and Deep South Studios, as well as the Council for Development of French in Louisiana (CODOFIL).
"TV5MONDE has been very excited to see the outpouring of interest from Louisiana filmmakers for grant and are pleased to continue to provide the support that helps to bring all these great stories to life," TV5MONDE USA COO Patrice Courtaban said.
