Cox Communications and Delgado Community College are partnering up to host a Small Business Growth Academy, with the intention of providing education and leadership development to diverse suppliers in Cox's Southeast region.
The program will be eight weeks and will seek goals in operational sustainability and improved scalability of diverse suppliers. Participants will learn valued skills in business management and other topics such as accounting, organizational performance, and project management. In addition to this, participants can expect to receive guidance on how to grow their business.
Vice President Cox's New Orleans Market Kevin Monroe said, "Cox is committed to inclusion, diversity, and equity," explaining that those are the company's defining values. Similarly, Delgado College is dedicated to ridding boundaries in education regarding economic status or location.
This year, Delgado Community College celebrates 100 years of service to the New Orleans region as the oldest and largest community college in the area. Cox seeks to create meaningful moments of human connection through technology. Cox and Delgado are thrilled to work together to bring this educational opportunity to the community.
Enrollment is capped at 30 participants, and the deadline to enroll is Friday, September 17. If enrolled, and orientation will be help virtually on September 25, via Canvas through Delgado.
