Coronavirus has struck the U.S. and is slowly but surely spreading across the country. Although there are no confirmed cases of the virus in Louisiana right now, it won't be long until the virus makes its way down South. "We do believe it's a matter of when not if that will happen," Governor John Bel Edwards said.

The Governor has formed a task force made up of officials from the Louisiana Department of Health and Office of Public Health as well as the Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness who are responsible for responding to the virus.

Governor Edwards assured Louisiana that there is "no need to panic" and that preparing for Coronavirus looks much like it does for the flu. Right now, there are more than 90 confirmed cases and two deaths from Coronavirus in the country.
