There are many things that make New Orleans great, but many would argue that our food is the thing that makes the city spectacular. From soul food and Cajun cuisine to unique sweet treats like sno-balls and pralines, this city knows how to eat. In a little over a week, you can enjoy some of the best food New Orleans has to offer by taking part in COOLinary New Orleans, the city's annual culinary extravaganza.

For nearly two months, customers can frequent some of the finest dining establishments the city has to offer and enjoy curated menus at low prices! For lunch, enjoy a two-to-three course meal for less than $25 or a three-course dinner for under $45. Although indoor dining is now back and in full swing in New Orleans, this year's COOLinary restaurants will carry on the tradition of the pandemic by continuing to offer take-out and delivery versions of their several course meals. The addition of carryout helped many restaurants stay afloat last year during a time when customers weren't allowed indoors and it looks like it'll be sticking around for a while.

From Wednesday, July 14 to Sunday, September 5, try to visit any—or all—of the 68 restaurants participating in "COOLinary New Orleans" for traditional Cajun and Creole flavors, Asian cuisine, Italian fare, or even some combination of all of the above!

The French Quarter has about 20 different restaurants participating in this year's COOLinary, so your options range from Antoine's and Arnaud's to Sylvain and Tujague's Restaurant. Uptown and the Garden District have a similar number of options, featuring places like Apolline, Commander's Palace, and even a more casual dining experience like Dat Dog on Freret. Downtown, you'll find Copper Vine, Reginelli's, and Josephine Estelle, among others.

The Marigny, Mid-City, Treme, and the Warehouse District all feature a slightly smaller selection of restaurants, but no less delicious options like Cafe Degas for French cuisine, Toups' Meatery for a whole lotta meat, and Silk Road Restaurant for Asian fare.

If you don't live in the heart of New Orleans, don't fret! "COOLinary New Orleans" extends all the way to Jefferson Parish, Lakeview, the Westbank, and even the Northshore!
