Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic pushed back Jazz Fest, which would have been starting to take place this weekend, until October 2021. Fortunately, Commander's Palace has just the event for your "no Jazz Fest blues."
Commander's Palace is joining forces with James Beard Award nominated "Wine Guy" Dan Davis for an online wine and cheese tasting with a "Shoulda Been Jazz Fest!" theme. The virtual tasting will take place Wednesday, April 28, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The standard ticket price is $125, which includes three bottles of wine and enough artisanal cheese and crackers for two to four people. Higher priced tickets are also available if you would like more wine or cheese for a larger group. Or if you just want to view the event and not have any wine or cheese, you can choose that option for $29.
Tickets must be purchased by Sunday, April 25, in order to take part in the tasting. If you purchase your ticket for the wine and cheese, you must select whether you would like it delivered or pick up. Delivery is only available to residents of Orleans Parish and will be made the day of the event. For pick up, you must select where you can get your order based on your address from these retailers who have partnered with Commander's Palace for the event:
Orleans Pick Up on Tuesday and Wednesday:
Commander's Palace (1403 Washington Ave.)
Metairie Pick Up on Wednesday: Langenstein's
(800 Meatirie Rd. G)
Mandeville Pick Up on Wednesday: Acquistapace's
Wine and Cheese (631 N. Causeway Blvd.)
Baton Rouge Pick Up on Wednesday: Calandro's
Supermarket (12732 Perkins Rd.)
· Lafayette Pick Up on Wednesday: Phillippe's Wine Cellar (3809 Ambassador Caffery Pkwy. #134C)
Note that if you select pick-up outside of Orleans Parish, the ticket only includes admission to the event, and you must purchase and pick up your wine and cheese directly from the retailer that you selected. You must also 21 or older to participate and valid ID will be required upon delivery.
