Baton Rouge Entrepreneurship Week, Returning this May to Inspire Local Entrepreneurs

The 12th edition of Nexus Louisiana's Baton Rouge Entrepreneurship Week (BREW) will take place the first week of May. Taking place during National Small Business Week, the event will begin on May 1 with a block celebration honoring the week's theme of "Rediscover & Reimagine."

The six-day BREW conference features programs aimed at aspiring entrepreneurs, existing start-ups, and every type of entrepreneur in between. NexusLA hopes to promote guests' hobbies, ideas, and company growth by offering them chances and tools via BREW.

The emergence of artificial intelligence, utilizing alternate financing sources, and strategies for cultivating a devoted following will all be covered in the seminar. Previous speakers have included Julio Melera, Sevetri Wilson, and Todd Graves.

"It's all about rediscovering what you've accomplished so far and harnessing your inner creativity and the spirit of exploration," said NexusLA's Director of Marketing & Engagement, Na'Tisha Natt.

"As we enter a new era under a new theme, we remain dedicated to growing and developing the Louisiana technology industry and entrepreneurial space as a whole," said Natt. "This year, we have a great programming lineup to support entrepreneurs and small business owners in advancing in their respective fields and to help them reconnect with their aspirations and purpose."

Rising entrepreneurs present their start-up to a group of investors and peers as part of the thrilling High-Stakes Pitch Competition that concludes Baton Rouge Entrepreneur Week every year. The start-up with the best pitch will receive an investment reward from the Red Stick Angel Network, a regional investor organization and division of Innovation Catalyst, Inc. Programming for tech start-ups has previously been a focus of NexusLA. Beginning with BREW in 2023, the organization will diversify its programs to cater to a range of start-ups and small enterprises.

"One of the main advantages of BREW is its opportunity to connect attendees with individuals who share similar visions and are committed to helping the community grow," affirmed Natt.

Natt urges local business community members to attend and get involved in the event. "We are looking for enthusiastic and revolutionary innovators in the local space to participate as speakers and presenters as we pursue taking risks, pushing boundaries, and inspiring creativity," she said.

NexusLA welcomes regional founders from a variety of sectors to attend BREW and network with other start-up professionals in the Baton Rouge area. For the event, NexusLA is now collecting speaker submissions. By March 3, 2023, submit your idea at celebratebrew.com .
