If you love the fashion and the aesthetic of Hollywood's glamorous Golden Age, then Bettie's Bombshells' NOLA Hollywood Golden Age Fashion Runway Rock Show is the place you want to be.
The show will be making its appearance in NOLA this
March to kick off the boutique's new Spring/Summer 2021 Catalogue. The event
will be Saturday, March 20, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. This elaborate event will be
held in The Drifter Hotel on 3522 Tulane Ave. and, due
to the current COVID-19 guidelines and limitations, there will be a 2,4, or 6 ticket
minimum on all tables. Tickets are $25, are non-refundable, and can be
purchased through Eventbrite.
The
theme will center itself around the iconic and glamorous movie stars who stared
in New Orleans based films: Marlene Dietrich (who starred in The Flame of
New Orleans in 1941), Marlon Brando (who starred in Tennessee Williams's
classic A Street Car Named Desire in 1951), Elvis Presley (who serenaded
audiences in 1958's King Creole), and Roger Moore (who starred in 1973's
Live and Let Die as the newest James Bond after Sean Connery). This
event will also be dedicated to celebrating the LGBTQ community, fashion,
music, body positivity, and diversity. In celebration of said gender, fluidity,
and sexuality, this event will feature burlesque stars Trixie Minx from New
Orleans, Esme' D'Avril from New York City, and more.
Custom cocktails based on the actors and their movies, as well as appetizers and entrees, will be served. There will also be live music performed by singer Tara Elliott. If you want to participate as a model in the fashion show, submit one headshot photo and one full body photo to bettiesbombshellspresents@gmail.com before the event. All guests in attendance must wear a mask.
