Big Head Todd and the Monsters last played New Orleans back in November of 2018 at Tipitina's. This time around they're back at Tips, playing a post Jazz Fest set. The Bolder Colorado natives have been playing together since 1986 but hit it big in the 90's with the release of their third album Sister Sweetly (1993). Saturday's set was a huge combination of that album and yet to be released material. Todd Mohr, the bands lead singer, and guitarist realized the audience had several options but was grateful the audience chose to come out and see them. Judging by the size of the crowd, you really wouldn't have known there were several other big shows in town. You can see more pictures here.
