The Bayou District Blues Night was held Saturday and was a huge success.  Locals Seth Walker and headliner Walter "Wolfman" Washington and Chicago blues master Lurrie Bell explored the blues and brought a few surprises along the way.  Seth started off the night and to my surprise was followed by Bell, not that Walter didn't deserve the headline slot; usually, the national act takes that spot.  Walker spread his Americana vision of the blues,  while Bell showed off his love for BB King, while not going out and excruciating the point. The evening was rounded out by Washington putting on a blues clinic that was beyond words. All in all a great evening and befitting a great cause.

"A note regarding the sequence - we thought really hard about the order of performers; I was thinking about the length of the evening and wanted to make sure Lurrie had the full audience before they started getting sleepy and leaving! My vision was to have "three headliners" and I hope we pulled that off." stated event organizer Lisa McCaffety-Scottsaid.
