April Fool's Joke? Led Zeppelin Named As Replacement For The Rolling Stones At Jazz Fest

Just two days ago, the Rolling Stones made a devastating announcement—they are postponing their North American tour (and their Jazz Fest performance) so that 75-year-old Mick Jagger can seek medical treatment.  Today, rumors are flying around the internet about how Jazz Fest can recover.

Keith Spera of The Advocate suggested that the only possible equivalent would be for Led Zeppelin to reunite and save our Fest and the day.  This suggestion was picked up by the site LiveForLiveMusic, who made a post today claiming that festival organizers have announced that this dreamy solution will be made a reality, and Zeppelin will make a triumphant appearance at the Fair Grounds this spring.

We are all certainly fools in love with live music and all thing Jazz Fest in New Orleans—but certainly not fools falling for heartbreaking jokes: Readers, keep scrolling to the bottom of their post, which clearly ends with the disclaimer—April Fools!
