Many Apple fanboys and girls will be looking forward to this
fall, as there are some rumors of exciting news coming down the pipe. The most
noteworthy announcement for most is the news that the new iPhone 12 is on the
way this fall. The new iPhone is a par-for-the-course redesign, which is
rumored to be coming with sharp edges, like the latest iPad Pro. In addition,
an event will allegedly be held on September 8 to launch the new phone. This is
exciting news, and there are a few mockups that have been made of the devices,
but, as always, it's hard to know what is rumor and what is reality.
Apple is also expected to launch their new Macbooks with ARM-based
architecture October 27 of this year, according to well-regarded leaker
iHacktu.
These events are likely to be held remotely. Pundits seem to
think, however, that if things continue to be remote and livestreamed, the
release of a long-rumored augmented reality glass will likely be pushed back to
a later date but may make an appearance if events are live.
This looks like it's going to be one of the more interesting
and exciting fall seasons in consumer tech in a while, given that we'll also be
hearing more about the new console war this holiday season. In all, it's going
to be a good time to watch consumer technology develop.
