Anna Paquin returns to TV

Former True Blood actress, Anna Paquin, has signed on to act in A&E’s remake of the critically acclaimed 1977 mini series Roots.  In this drama about African American slavery, Paquin will play the role of Nancy Holt, the wife of a confederate officer who has a cruel way of dealing with slaves.  It is going to be quite the change from the good-spirited role she plays in True Blood.  A&E plans to air the series in 2016.
