"Enough with the pictures. We need to get inside to party." ~ Kenny Burns
On Friday Jan. 13, local party promoter and businesman Larry Morrow did it again with another star studded event. In honor of his birthday and "The Breakfast Club" co-host Angela Yee, Morrow, DJ Envy, Kenny Burns, and Lil' Kim hosted the "All Black Affair" at the Metropolitan Nightclub.
Other notable faces included Karen Civil, Toya Wright, and a surprise performance from rapper Fabolous. The packed house flourished with good music from Envy himself. Burns was the go-to hype man of the night and fans in the building showed nothing but love to Queen B herself, Lil' Kim.
Sponsored by We Dat's on Canal Street, Ascenion Branding and Marketing (JT Thomas) and PR company Kaylain (Katy Sandusky) held the night down with order and control as they navigated the roads for media, red carpet and the celebrity guests.
Birthday shouts were in full effect for all of those born under the sign of Capricorn who is represented by the goat. While some could say it means the "Greatest of All Time," the goat symbolizes the steady pace needed to fulfill the ambition desired. If you happen to be a Capricorn or know anyone who falls in between Dec. 22 - Jan. 20, make room for some of the greats. Notable Caps include the First Lady Michelle Obama, Civil Rights Leader Martin Luther King, Jr., R&B singer John Legend, "Moesha" alum Sheryl Lee Ralph, "American Crime" star Regina King and Academy Award Winner Denzel Washington.
