The pool-side bar and restaurant Alto located on the ninth-floor roof of the Ace Hotel is going to be hot, hot, hot this summer for sure. The pool is open to the public everyday ($20 cover Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), and there will be fun, food, and booze for all to enjoy. You can stay nice and cool with a brand new frozen drink like the Eternal Summer cocktail made with orange juice, honeysuckle vodka, and coconut. Local beers are always on tap.
One of the newest features of Alto is the fancy pizza oven that cooks a pizza from raw to perfectly crisp in 110 seconds! It burns at 800 degrees. The Margherita and Calabrese Pizzas were decadent and perfectly cooked. But the Quatro Formaggi Pizza (4 Cheese Pizza) was my absolute favorite. The new dishes don't stop there; the Chicken Banh Mi Sliders were extremely flavorful.
