Cerveza Modelo presents the third annual Top Taco, a friendly competition benefiting Foster Nola. The non-profit organization is focused on helping children in the New Orleans foster-care system as they transition into adulthood.
The festive evening will feature over 40 of New Orleans’ own restaurants, chefs, spirits and beverages, live entertainment including Armando Leduc & Salsa Royal and Muevelo, a silent auction, live Lucha Libre wrestling and contests with winners in four different categories: Top Creative Taco, Top Traditional Taco, Top Creative Cocktail and Top Traditional Margarita.
A new addition to Top Taco this year will be “A Night in Paradiso,” a VIP experience that allows access to the event at 6 p.m. rather than 7 p.m., a private lounge with an open-bar, and exclusive Paradiso and El Tesoro reposado select barrel tastings.
The VIP chefs include Jose Garces, Carrie Baird and Brian Landry. The restaurants include Juan’s Flying Burrito, Felipe’s, Agave, Los Jefes, Mannings, Rum House, Seed, Lucy’s Retired Surfers Bar and Tacos and Beer.
The event will take place on Thursday, March 14, at 7 p.m. at Woldenberg Park. General admission passes are $75 per person, first tasting tickets are $95 per person and include 6 p.m. entry, and VIP tickets are $125 per person, which includes VIP lounge access and 6 p.m. entry.
