We all know its a sin to wear white after labor day, but is it a sin to wear leggings? A central Oregonian woman has vowed to give up wearing yoga pants and leggings for God and husband. Christian blogger Veronica Partridge decided to make the lifestyle change after having a talk with her husband who revealed to her that in a space filled with leggings-clad women “it’s hard to not look. I try not to, but it’s not easy.”
In order to prevent other men from having the same “lustful” thoughts, the blogger made the decision - which has weighed “heavy on her heart” for months - to quit the spandex clothing cold turkey.
The blogger wrote about her decision: "If it is difficult for my husband who loves, honors, and respects me to keep his eyes focused ahead, then how much more difficult could it be for a man that may not have the same self-control? Sure, if a man wants to look, they are going to look, but why entice them? Is it possible that the thin, form-fitting yoga pants or leggings could make a married (or single) man look at a woman in a way he should only look at his wife? And at that moment, I made a personal vow to myself and to my husband. I will no longer wear thin, form-fitting yoga pants or leggings in public."
The blogger has been garnering a lot of attention since her decision earlier this month, getting the admiration of some and the anger of others. Either way, the leggings-free lady has said that she is not trying to people what to wear, and is only explaining her own reasoning behind her decision.
