Looking for something fun for all ages to do this summer. Take a ride over to Biloxi, Mississippi and spend the night at the Beau Rivage Resort and Casino. Six nights a week, Saturday through Thursday, the circus headlines the 1500-seat Beau Rivage Theater.

Theatrical Circus Sensation BraVeau Soars at Beau Rivage

This year’s performance, titled BraVeau Theatrical Circus Sensation, is a Cirque-style circus led by the affable clown Bello Nock who has headlined circuses around the country for the past several decades. A seventh-generation performer, Bello has reigned supreme over the likes of Ringling Brothers, but you won’t find controversial lion tamers and elephant riders at this circus. BraVeau features eight acts over an hour and a half, mostly involving internationally-renowned acrobats, aerialists and contortionists. Each act runs about ten minutes, interspersed with the comedic timing of Bello, who keeps the mood light and the guests laughing. Highlights included multiple motorcyclists zipping and zooming around a cylinder-shaped steel cage called The Sphere of Fear, and the Wheel of Wonder, two giant rotating wheels spinning an aerialist and Bello high above the audience.

If you’ve seen this type of circus before, there isn’t much new here, but that doesn’t mean it’s not worth the visit. For first-timers and regulars alike, it’s a perfect way to get out of the summer heat and enjoy some family-friendly entertainment. With Bello back in the fold, there’s no better way to experience the circus. He’s the consummate professional and he engages the crowd like no other. The ten-week engagement runs through August 7th every night at 7:00 and Saturday and Sunday matinees at 3:00.
