After Tales opened with a bang, things really ramped up for the second day. You wouldn't think that non-liquor spirits would be featured at a cocktail festival. However, G.H. Mumm Champagne hosted a fantastic tasting room entitled Champagne Differently. The bubbly drink paired well with the nearby Cooling Off with the Locals: A Taste of Louisiana presented by The Louisiana Distillers Guild and The Louisiana Dept. of Agriculture & Forestry's Certified Louisiana Craft Beverage Program. Local spirit makers Atelier Vie, Celebration Distillation, Louisiana Spirits, Roulaison Distilling, and Seven Three Distilling were on hand to discuss how their companies and others are changing the craft liquor industry right here at home while also sampling their best products. Not to be forgotten, Tabasco showed off how to make the best Bloody Mary ever just down the hall.
The William Grant & Sons portfolio party at the brand new Fillmore Theater at Harrah's Casino was the talk of the town! Actually, the whole town may have been in attendance. It was jam packed with people grabbing drinks and taking selfies among the many Instagrammable features like Reyka Vodka's full-sized all ice bar.
