With Custom Isolation Float Tanks

There is a seemingly endless amount of ways to deal with stress, or the relief of it more specifically.  Many people meditate, watch TV, nap, cry, medicate themselves, etc.; but I doubt that many de-stress via the Isolation Tank method.  The SPACE Sanctuary on Saint Claude Ave. offers a custom isolation float tank: a coffin shaped tank, sealed from light or sound, filled with Epsom salt water, which lets the participant float calmly like an inflatable lounge chair.  The water is at skin temperature, creating an ambiguity between the individual and the water, and the absence of light or sound eliminates any external influences, so this sensation of pure weightlessness makes the patient enter an engulfed state of relaxation.  As the conscience drifts from the outer everyday impetus to the inner relaxation of the mind, the brain enters a dream-like state, which lets the “floater” meditate, solve-problems, and find mental balance without external blockades.  There are options within the tank to make the participant feel as comfortable as possible.  Appointments go for $50 by the hour, so if money is not the root of your anxiety, try this new approach to stress relief.
