Need to get pumped up for Jazz Fest? Roots of Music invites you to celebrate its 15th anniversary with a donor party on Thursday, April 28. There will be special performances headlined by famous New Orleans trombonist Glen David Andrews and followed by soul singer Erica Falls and Bo Dollis, Big Chief of the Wild Magnolias.

The party will kick off at Danny Conwill's house from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets cost $250 per person and $400 per couple. The first 50 ticket purchasers will receive an exclusive memorabilia package from Roots of Music. All proceeds will go to the organization, so they continue to provide youth with free music education, academic support, and personal and professional development.

Founded by Derrick Tabb and Allison Reinhardt, the Roots of Music's goal is to aid at-risk youth through friendships, talent development, and economic support while preserving and promoting the musical culture of the city. The program is free for all students and is open Monday to Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

You can purchase tickets at mailchi.mp.
