This week, the city celebrates its one-of-a-kind culinary culture with New Orleans Restaurant Week. The Big Easy is famed for its combination of Creole, Cajun, and soul food flavors, but these days, its restaurants are as diverse as its residents. The participating venues range from long-standing classics, like Pascal’s Manale and Commander’s Palace, to adventurous upstarts like Shaya, whose Israeli cuisine earned it a James Beard award for the best new restaurant in the country. New Orleans’ restaurants are consistently ranked among the worlds’ greatest, making the city a destination for food lovers worldwide. Restaurant Week will bring special menus and discounts to 83 spots around the city, giving locals and visitors yet another reason to get a bite at one of NOLA’s amazing eateries. Sponsors include Tabasco, Louisiana Seafood, and Leidenheimer bread.
