Patricia Clarkson arrived at the Windsor Court Hotel on Tuesday, February 26th where the Kinfolk brass band and women of Muses awaited her. As soon as Patricia got out of the car, she quickly joined the second line and danced along to the classic New Orleans brass band’s music. The second line started the moment the band heard the sirens from the police escort and continued as the crowd traveled up the stairs to the second-floor board room.
After gathering in the boardroom, Patricia greeted and reunited with her friends from the Krewe of Muses. When everyone got settled, Muses Captain, Staci Rosenberg greeted the crowd and invited the women of Muses and Patricia up to the front where they then did a champagne toast to their honorary muse.
Patricia was then presented with a handmade, green crown and received her very own shoe (a purple boot with the tragedy and comedy faces painted on them.) The faces painted on the boot seemed very fitting for the Emmy and Golden Globe award winning and Academy Award-nominated actress.
The Krewe of Muses is celebrating their nineteenth parade this year with a woman who has an intimate connection with the New Orleans community. As a New Orleans native, Patricia Clarkson was delighted to come back to her hometown for the Mardi Gras season and see her family and friends. This is the second year that the women of Muses have chosen Patricia as their Honorary Muse and she seemed just as excited as them to come back home and be a part of another year of Muses history!
