Whether you're perched on a rooftop or tucked away in a courtyard safely on the ground, it's no secret that you're likely one of many in NOLA who are dying to get outside, despite the humidity and heat. With the Fall months and (hopefully) cooler weather approaching, this list of some of the city's greatest outdoor spots will come in handy when you're in the mood for sipping and sitting.

The Bulldog

3236 Magazine St.

When the weather is great and there's a game on, head on over to the Bulldog. Enjoy a pleasant courtyard experience right on Magazine Street as you watch sports on the bar's huge outdoor flatscreen.

600 Portland Ave.

A classic NOLA favorite. With a quaint and intimate backyard feel, this wine bar has live music regularly and a delicious menu.

Root Squared

1800 Magazine St.

This brand new restaurant and bar boasts chic décor and cocktails on the inside and an amazing view on the outside. Sip your drinks on the spacious iron balcony overlooking Magazine Street.

3442 St. Charles Ave.

Another popular wine bar in NOLA, this one has a perfect view of St. Charles' streetcars. Dine and drink under twinkling lights.

Balcony Bar

1104 Harmony St.

In the mood for pizza and a great balcony view? Look no further than Magazine Street's Balcony Bar. This popular neighborhood bar offers spacious 2-story seating and it's open late.

Bhava/Feelings Café

2600 Chartres St.

These two restaurants share a unique space that makes for a memorable dining experience. Vegan restaurant Bhava sits atop Feelings Café. Foodies can dine on the upstairs balcony with a view of the gorgeous courtyard below.

Jackson Brewery

620 Decatur St.

Jackson Brewery is known for plenty of things, and their scenic ironwork balconies are among the most popular. This hot French Quarter spot offers private balcony seating for a laid-back evening.

430 Dauphine St.

Bayona sits in the French Quarter and boasts an extensive wine list. Sit outside and indulge under the umbrellas of the lavish courtyard.

Court of Two Sisters

613 Royal St.

This lush courtyard is adorned with strings of twinkling lights to set the tone for a truly amazing spot. Visit at night for a few drinks or start your day off with the famous brunch.
