CNN reports Toronto researchers analysis of 47 studies of sedentary behavior that shows a sedentary lifestyle will increase your risk of maladies, like cardiovascular issues, cancer and Type 2 diabetes. This risk even includes people who exercise.
The study suggests to be aware by how much you spend seated and to reduce that time. Other suggestions included a standing desk, taking short walks every half hour, and to use commercial breaks to walk around.
