Morning 40 Federation is a New Orleans-based band composed of Josh Cohen, Ryan Scully, Bailey Smith, Steve Calandra, Mike Andrepont and Rick Hukil who recently got back together after breaking up in the 90’s.

After making new music with each other, the band decided to not put out a CD but vinyl 45s instead. “Our goal is to produce and record a series of seven inch records that capture this resurgence, i.e., a fully realized piece of sonic art. In order to bring this to fruition, we need additional funding,” said the band.

The band intends to raise $16,000 to pay for producers, studio time, record pressing, photography, and other expenses that comes with making their dreams come true.

The band explained that their goal is to have “four limited edition 7 inch vinyl singles (500 of each). Each record will have its own theme complete with front covers designed by New Orleans artists, colored vinyl based on the theme of the record, and an image on the back that can only be viewed when all four back covers are put together.”
