The Taste of Louisiana Oyster Trail is the perfect place to find the best of this local favorite dish. On November 13-14, visitors and locals alike are invited to enjoy this day full of great food and drink, featuring top-rated chefs and restaurants. Participating restaurants include Acme Oyster House, Drago's, and Deanie's Seafood. Acme Oyster House was founded in 1910, and was one of the earliest restaurants in the city to serve oysters. Drago's, known as the "Home of the Charbroiled Oyster", is celebrating its 50th year of service and you can still see one of the founder's greeting customers as they enter either location. Deanie's Seafood, a city staple, was named the "Best Seafood Restaurant" by the Times Picayune and has been a local favorite for over 50 years. With the event lasting from 10 a.m.-11 p.m., there's enough time to try all of them!
3 course dinners are offered for $18-$39, while 2-3 course lunches are offered for $7-$35. Proceeds will benefit the Autism Society of Greater New Orleans whose goal is to empower, educate, and support those with autism in an effort to improve their quality of life.
