Are you feeling those stay-at-home blues? As we practice
social distancing and isolation, it's easy to get bored or to spend the time
longing for the days of summer concerts. Well, never fear, because the House of
Blues is bringing the tunes of local musicians right into your homes with
livestreamed concerts twice a week as a part of its "For the Culture: From the
Heart of NOLA" series. This series is meant to make people feel closer to the
city while at home, as well as to share "the many different cultures that make
New Orleans one of the greatest cities in the world."
You can catch the livestreamed concerts Tuesdays and
Thursdays, with some special weekend livestreams. The concerts will be streamed
online through the House of Blues New Orleans's Instagram and Facebook pages. Fans are
sure to have a great time from home, watching the live performances through
social media platforms, where they can write comments and interact with
musicians. Be sure to utilize the virtual tip jar, Venmo, or Pay Pal to thank
and support these artists during this difficult time.
The series will continue live and in person once the House
of Blues opens back up again, with a portion of the event proceeds benefitting
a local organization or relief fund. But for now, the events are all free and
easily accessible online for your streaming pleasure.
