The annual Gleason Gras fundraiser inspired by former New Orleans Saints player and current ALS activist Steve Gleason returns once again on Friday, September 7. Held in Champions Square, this event hopes to gain donations to increase awareness and support for people with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, more commonly known as ALS.
The fundraiser will feature performances from musical acts such as Marc Broussard, Flow Tribe, and Paul Varisco & the Milestones. Along with those performances, appearances will be made by Gumbo, the New Orleans Saints’s mascot, and Boudreaux, the New Orleans Baby Cakes’s mascot. The event will also feature a Saints fan costume contest, face painting, a silent auction, a beer garden, and plenty of food vendors.
Admission into Gleason Gras is free, but VIP tickets can be bought at the price of $250 dollars for adults and $50 dollars for children. For those who don’t pay for tickets, it is suggested that a donation of at least $10 dollars be made.
