Now that Halloween is over and Thanksgiving is almost here, it is officially time to celebrate the holidays. PJ's Coffee has released their four holiday beverages, as well as their special holiday cup. PJ's paired with the New Orleans Children's Hospital to design the cup. Two patients devised a classically New Orleans-style design, complete with shotgun houses, a second line of alligators, and festive lights hanging from streetlamps.
Not only can you get your regular order in these cups, but you can spruce things up with their holiday drinks as well. Their Peppermint Bark Velvet Ice and Latte feature rich white chocolate and sweet peppermint. If you aren't one for mint and chocolate, try their gingerbread or butter rum lattes, which are full of spices and caramel. The cups will be available with the special design throughout the holiday season.
PJ's Coffee wanted to highlight Children's Hospital's arts in healthcare, child life, and creative therapy, giving kids a creative way to cope with illnesses, treatment, and hospitalizations. Customers at PJ's locations can donate between $1 and $5 as part of Children's Hospital's Light up the Season Campaign. Each donation gets your name featured on a lightbulb in the store.
The two children who designed the cup, Lizzie and Mindy, have thrived in the hospital's art programs. Lizzie, who has been suffering from recurrent bone infections since 2014 and received treatment for an immunodeficiency, created the holiday lights and snowflake artwork. Mindy, a young cancer fighter, created the second line of alligators. "We are proud to partner with Children's Hospital this holiday season," remarked Leslie Monson, the chief marketing officer for PJ's Coffee. "The medical care they provide to children throughout Louisiana and the Gulf South is vital. The artistic talents of Lizzie and Mindy featured on our PJ's holiday cups are sure to light up the season for our customers and the communities we serve."
