Bo Dollis Jr. Organizes Free 'Stop the Violence' Concert After The Beating of His Godmother

In the Carver Theater in New Orleans’ historic Treme neighborhood, Big Chief Bo Dollis Jr. of the Wild Magnolias hosted an event to bring attention to the widespread crime in the Crescent City. Dollis was inspired to put on this event, Stop the Violence, after his godmother Nancy Ochsenschlager was carjacked and assaulted. The event featured New Orleans musicians like Jason and Charmaine Neville, James Andrews and Mardi Gras Indians from around the city.
