Tributes to zydeco legend Wilson "Boozoo" Chavis by his grandsons and their bands, RJ Chavis and Creole Sounds and Justin Chavis and the Dog Hill Stompers, led off the 10th annual Louisiana Cajun-Zydeco festival in Louis Armstrong Park June 18-19, 2016. The festival lineup includes several of Acadiana's most popular bands, such as Cajun fiddler Steve Riley & the Mamou Playboys, accordionist Nathan Williams and his Zydeco Cha-Chas, Roddie Romero and the Hub City All-Stars and Chris Ardoin & NuStep Zydeko, who perform a tribute to Beau Jocque. The free festival is organized by the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation.
