Vulpeck and Lettuce Play Tipitina's

00:21 April 26, 2016

This past Sunday April 24, New Orleans got funky at Tipitina’s after Jazz Fest.  Famed Boston funk band Lettuce delievered a high-energy performance. Their guitarist Eric Krasno sports a versatile catalog-- he is also a guitarist in the soul jazz band Soulive. Lettuce was formed in 1992 at the Berklee School of Music, and has been rockin’ stages worldwide ever since, working with the likes of Wyclef Jean and John Scofield.  Their recently released  album Crush is chock-full of jammin’ tracks, and like their music, Lettuce’s performance at Tipitina’s did not disappoint.

Opening for Lettuce was Michigan funk group Vulpeck, a funk band founded in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 2011. They are known for their simple, minimalistic style. Their first full-length album, Thrill of the Arts, was released in 2015.
