Timecode:NOLA’s Independent Film Fest is a festival where filmmakers make movies just for the fest. There is a super 8 film contest with a live piano player improvising the score to each silent, black & white film where the filmmakers see their film for the first time with the audience at the premiere. There is also the Joint Picture Project, which gives local filmmakers a theme to make a 5 minute movie, then the best 15 shorts are edited into a single feature length film, spanning one single night in New Orleans told through the eyes of 15 different directors. This third Timecode:NOLA Fest takes place in various venues throughout New Orleans from April 16th to the 19th. For a full schedule of events, visit: http://www.timecodenola.com/ff3/
