Calling on all those music lovers, rare vinyl collectors, and Meters' fans as now is the time to visit the Big Easy!

This August 18, Ace Hotel has teamed up with Vinyl Me Please, to host live on the Queen Mary on wax: A Meters record re-release party.

It was March 24, 1975, over 40 years now, when The Meters got their groove down on The Queen Mary. An amazing performance by these local legends in celebration for an amazing album release by Paul and Linda McCartney's band, Wings. The recording of that night above the rushing Long Island waters has never been released on vinyl. That is until now.

Ace Hotel and Vinyl Me Please have partnered to press on wax "Uptown Rulers: The Meters live on The Queen Mary" as an exclusive offer for hotel guests during the entire month of August (offer valid now through 12/31). All you have to do is book a room using the code VINYL to receive a free copy of the wax to take home, but it doesn't stop there. You will also receive $50.00 worth of complimentary food and drinks, as well as guaranteed free entry for two to the re-release party.

The re-release party starts at 10:00 p.m. on Friday, August 18 at Three Keys inside Ace Hotel, located at 600 Carondelet St., but be sure to RSVP for your guaranteed entry. Capacity is limited. For more information on this event, or to book your room, visit acehotel.com/uptownrulers. For information on Ace's partner Vinyl Me Please, visit vinylmeplease.com.
