The marathon will take place on September 27, and draws several thousand runners each year due to the spots significance and ties with the monster. Along the 26-mile span, runners are encouraged to take selfies and to send them to the expert panel to be evaluated. The expert panel consists of staff from the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland.
