Running Out of Pumpkin Pie

Watch out! According to Time.com, we could be headed towards a canned pumpkin shortage this Thanksgiving. Experts assure us that there will be enough pumpkins to supply the nations’ jack o’lanterns, but by late November we might be running low. With a one-third drop-off in pumpkin supply due to record rains this June, Illinois crop experts recommend stocking up as soon as cans come in stores. “I would not wait until November 20,” University of Illinois Professor Babadoost said. Luckily, the supply of cranberries and turkey is reportedly high.
