Poseidon Happy Hour

17:00 February 11, 2015
By: Rachel Davis

Mardi Gras has crept up on us all. Need something to get you into the mood before the parades and fiasco begins? Look no further than the Poseidon Happy Hour this Wednesday, February 11th, from 6-8 P.M.

This happy hour includes $5 small plates featuring sustainable and fresh fish from the Gulf of Mexico. There will also be live music and a full bar with one very special cocktail: Poseidon’s Punch.

Admission is free and open to the public. Poseidon’s Happy Hour is located 1.5 blocks from the St. Charles Mardi Gras parades at 527 Julia Street in the Carmo/L’Entrepot/Cathedral Creative Studios.

The best part isn’t the delicious food for a cheap price, but that the proceeds will benefit ocean conservancy and advocacy programs. To keep the sustainable spirit at the center of this social soiree, representatives from BOAA, Slow Food, Gulf Restoration Network, SeafoodWatch, Gulf Wild, LA Sea Grant and more will be in attendance.
