The New Orleans-based nonprofit organization that helps launch social and environmental ventures in the GNO is hosting “Propeller Pop 2014”, an annual benefit and celebration for their 2013-2014 Social Venture Accelerator Class. The start-up companies being honored at this event are taking on local issues in public health, food access, education, blight reduction, economic development and the arts.
“Propeller Pop 2014” will take place on Thursday, May 22nd from 7 – 10:30 pm at the Propeller Social Innovation Incubator (4035 Washington Avenue) and will include a showcase of the Accelerator Fellows' local impact. Plus, the event will also feature some of the city's finest pop-up restaurants including Sarsparilla, Debbie does Doberge, Purloo, Gemelli's, Milkfish, Splendid Pig, Blue Oak BBQ, Dom Vegan Delites, Matt n Amie, and L' Enfant Terible. All proceeds will go to supporting the 2014-2015 Accelerator programming at Propeller.
