New Orleans to Welcome Back Maroon 5 this June

Grammy award-winning rock band Maroon 5 has included New Orleans in their 2018 North American tour! They are no strangers to the Big Easy, in September 2016 they sold out the Smoothie King Center while touring in support of the album V, and they returned April of this year to headline the second weekend of Jazz Fest. Keyboardist PJ Morton, a New Orleans native, has been touring with Maroon 5 since 2010. In 2012, he became a full-time member contributing vocals and keyboard parts for the band’s albums Overexposed and V.

Their highly anticipated sixth studio album, Red Pill Blues, is set to drop on Friday, November 3, tickets for the tour will become available the next day on November 4. The album’s lead single, “What Lovers Do” featuring SZA was released on August 30, and has since climbed to the top of the charts. The upcoming album will also include collaboration tracks with Julia Michaels, A$AP Rocky, and LunchMoney Lewis. The “Red Pill Blues” tour will kick off on May 30 in Tacoma, Washington, the band is scheduled to play in New Orleans on June 14 at the Smoothie King Center.
