What a Day!

The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on Sunday April 28, 2024 with artists Rumba Buena, Charmaine Neville, Bon Bon Vivant, Rebirth Brass Band, Eric Lindell, Amanda Shaw and the Cute Boys, Heart, and Shawn Williams closing out Jazz Fest week one.

The first weekend of the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival was a success and Sunday was a perfect closing to a perfect weekend. Not only was the weather surprisingly great for all four days, but the music, food, and vibes at the Fair Grounds were just as awesome as well.

We started our day at the one and only Joyce's Lemonade stand, where we were able to get refreshed as we ventured off for food. Sundays are perfect days for po-boys, and one could not experience Jazz Fest without a bite of the famous soft-shell crab po-boy. While there, we also indulged in crawfish bread, sno-balls, crawfish monica, jambalaya, and, to top it all off, a mango freeze.

This Sunday's musical line up was crowd gathering, with amazing performances from Congo Square Stage to the Festival Stage. Some of today's heavy hitters were Rebirth Brass Band, Heart, Keith Frank, and many more.

At the Cultural Exchange Pavilion Stage, we enjoyed the Colombian sounds of groups such as Jacobo Velez y La Mambanegra. We also got an up-close view of New Orleans' own Mannie Fresh and Juvenile as they hit the Allison Miner Music Heritage Stage for an interview.

Jazz Fest Sunday closed with dynamic performances from Anderson .Paak and Juvenile, along with Mannie Fresh.

The day was simply amazing, and we are stoked to see what's in-store for next week.
