I'm going to check out the Beau Rivage's new exclusive show Salt Oriya on Friday, the 20th. But there are plenty of fantastic things for you to do right here in New Orleans that weekend.

Start the weekend off right with Johnny Angel and his Swinging Demons at Little Gem Saloon at 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 19th.

EyeHateGod is holding their local release show for their latest self-titled album (12 years in the making) with Ringworm and Enabler on Friday, the 20th at 9 p.m. at Southport Hall. The Prytania Theater is holding many weekends of horror starting with Evil Dead showing at midnight on Friday and Saturday, June 20th and 21st. The series continues with Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness on the weekend of June 27th and July 4th, respectively.

The quarterly music trading and selling event Record Raid is back at The Old Ironworks located at 612 Piety Street on Saturday, the 21st. Multiple vendors will be selling music from generations over on vinyl, tape, CD, and who knows what else beginning at 10 a.m. If you feel the need to get there first, you can enter one hour early for $5. In celebration of the victorious day, Captain's Vinyl is hosting a in-store performance with Dominique LeJeune and Ex Specter on the Summer Solstice beginning at 6 p.m. The show is free and there will be a barbeque after. Check out Bella Blue's Dirty Dime Peepshow for you night cap at the Allways Lounge at 11 p.m. for $15.

Monday is an eventful day. Where Y'at Magazine is holding the highly anticipated Margarita Mixoff at Fulton Alley at 7 p.m. There is no cover and there will be drink specials. Watch as three bartenders go head-to-head-to-head making exciting and unique margaritas for everyone to taste. If you're a little geeky for such finery, you can be amongst your own at Geek Trivia: Trek Wars at Siberia at 7 p.m. Compete using your best nerdy knowledge for prizes for free.
