Mad Max: Fury Road is the opposite of subtle.

The film is gloriously over the top but nothing says this better than the Doof Warrior.

The Doof Warrior is a blind mutant, wearing a red onesie, riding a truck that is overloaded with amps and speakers, and wielding a flame-throwing guitar that plays rock music during the battle.

And since director George Miller, is a fan of functional props, meaning that the Doof Warrior was no CGI trick.

According to MTV, the props master had to bungee cord the guitar player on the back of the truck, blindfold him, light the guitar on fire, add a few drummers, and then drive the car at 70 kph.

Before filming, Miller had the guitar player come in a few weeks advance to practice on the 8 wheel drive ex-military rocket launching track that served as the amp truck for the film.
