Lucy's Expansion Party Coming Up
On December 17, starting at 9 a.m., Lucy's Retired Surfers Bar & Restaurant will be hosting a grand opening for the restaurant's new expansion.
Lucy's will be showcasing its new 8,000 square feet expansion, which doubles the size of the original location at 701 Tchoupitoulas Street. This grand opening, which is also a Saints game day party, requires no RSVP and is open to the public.
Guests will have the opportunity to have a first look at Lucy's new dining room and private event space, an expanded courtyard, an added second balcony, more restrooms and a new elevator for accessibility. This grand opening will also be filled with plenty of activities, including giveaways and a photo booth. Additionally, Lucy's will be offering guests all-day deals on drinks, shots, oysters, and more.
Starting off the celebration, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., will be a complimentary Bloody Mary bar. From 11:30 a.m. until 3 p.m., Lucy's will be offering free, select frozen drinks and a complimentary game day buffet. Lastly, at 3 p.m., there will be a post-game party with DJ Noisebox.
"This reveal has been nearly two years in the making and we can't wait for our guests to enjoy this new space," said Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Kirkendoll Management John Kirkendoll. "This means more space for game day celebrations, parade watching, happy hours, convention events and all the celebrations that we love hosting at Lucy's--and of course, we had to kick it off with a party!"
