Kawaii NOLA celebrated its first birthday this past Sunday, July 20, with a massive crowd of fashionistas from all around the city. Bearing the slogan "A Culture of Cute," the store truly brought over the essence of Japanese street fashion with a variety of colorful clothing, accessories and official anime merchandise. Free mini-snacks and sno-balls were served to an enthusiastic audience adorning fashionable yet unconventional clothing. It was a feast for the eyes being surrounded by the multifarious interior, eclectic merchandise, and the vibrant customers of Kawaii NOLA. There was a prize raffle at the end, and if you arrived early, you might have gotten a free lucky bag with random goodies!

Most customers got their outfits right from Kawaii NOLA - a show of amazing support; otherwise, patrons purchased their outfits online straight from Japan. Costumes, makeup and hair were all on point and  conveyed the essence of “CUTE” in their own unique ways!

Here's to many more years of bringing beautiful and colorful fashion to the streets of NOLA!
