Your days will be busy if you’re attending Jazz Fest this weekend. There are lots of events going on throughout the nights; some actually start at 2 a.m. Plan wisely so you don’t get partied out.

Big Deal Burlesque performs their monthly show at Siberia on Thursday night with the addition of the cooky rock band The Cons and Prose performing the hits of the Rolling Stones. The $10 show that begins at 8 p.m. will feature striptease, contortion, and lots of surprises. Immediately following the show is Disco Nouveau for free.

Siberia will be at it again on Friday with Little Freddie King (interviewed in our most recent issue), Guitar Lightnin’ Lee and DJ Pasta on Friday night at 10 p.m. for $12. Just next door at the Hi Ho Lounge, the Iguanas and the New Orleans Kelzmer All-Stars play at 10 p.m.

Another edition of GoGo McGregor’s Clue: A Burlesque Mystery will make you think while making you sweat at 11 p.m. for $15. Guess whodunit to win real prizes.

It’s the usual suspects, but not the typical location. Mountain of Wizard, Trampoline Team, and Classhole are playing a free show at Webb’s Bywater Music located at 3217 Burgundy Street at 3 p.m. The store’s owner, Paul Webb, is the guitarist of Mountain of Wizard. You’ll have plenty of time after this show to catch the legendary Tom Jones at House of Blues at 8 p.m. for $77. If Tom Jones isn’t your bag (how could he not be?), Michael Patrick Welch would be happy to entertain you with the second edition of his book release party for “New Orleans Underground Guide Vol. 3” at Buffa’s Bar.
