Thursday is quite possibly the longest burlesque show in the world. Siberia hosts the first annual 24-Hour Burlesque Fest. Each burlesque group will be given a theme and a prop that they are required to incorporate into their act. The groups will plan their show and striptease for a panel of judges. The team who raises the most cash (that benefits the New Orleans Musicians Clinic) wins the competition. There is no cover and the show starts at 7 p.m.

The Intergalactic Nemesis will take over the Contemporary Arts Center on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. It’s not a movie, it’s not a play; it’s a live-action graphic novel perfect for all of you comic nerds and art lovers of all kinds. Can’t make it on Friday, catch it on Saturday. Tickets are $35.

Spend your lovely Spring Saturday at City Park at Hogs for a Cause. This renowned barbeque competition will pit national cooks against each other for the title king of the pigs. Later in the night, if you’re not burned out on burlesque (who could you be?), there’s another installment of Clue: A Burlesque Mystery at the Allways Lounge at 11 p.m. $15 cover gets you one drink and a sexy mystery to solve for real prizes.

Get ready to cram yourself into The Mushroom Record Store at 1037 Broadway St. on Tuesday night to attend the free Joystick CD listening party at 6 p.m. Feel free to peruse the albums, DVDs, clothing, and smoking supplies while enjoying FREE BEER! And some free food, too.
